What are the characteristics of true love?

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;  does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

Yeshua/Jesus instructed, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” John 13:34

So, our goal should be to be able to say:

“I suffer long (am patient) and am kind; I do not envy; I do not parade myself, am not puffed up; do not behave rudely, do not seek my own, am not provoked, think no evil;  do not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoice in the truth; bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things. In the power of the Holy Spirit, I never fail, I overcome.”

Something to remember every day.  True?
