The First Step of Salvation/Revival

The first step is to recognize our need for help….to see that we are as good as dead!  We need to be revived! We need a Savior to save us.  All people are born into sin…separation from God under bondage to the current ruler of this earth, satan….and naturally following his ways.  If we do not believe this, we deceive ourselves.

1 John 1:8,”If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

God does not stay in the presence of sin.  He is all holy, pure, only good, righteous, and just.  So, how can a person in sin expect to go to heaven and be in His presence after death…and escape the penalty of hell? It is only by the blood of Yeshua/Jesus that the price of sin was paid and our putting our whole faith and heart in Him. (Read Romans 3.)

Romans 10: 8-10, “The word is near you, in your mouth AND IN YOUR HEART (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you CONFESS with your mouth the Lord Jesus AND believe IN YOUR HEART that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

To claim the saving blood of Yeshua/Jesus, we need to become His by our heart AND mouth confession.  Putting BOTH our mouth and heart totally in His hands is required.  It is by vow and covenant.  He becomes my Beloved and my Head.  I become His faithful family and spokesman….a citizen of heaven.  He needs to become my new Lord (leader, authority) as well as Savior in my heart and my words. I no longer serve the world or am under Satan, but believe to righteousness (becoming like Yeshua/Jesus, my new Lord).
