Father, I come to You in the name of Yeshua, Your Son. I lift up before You…. Your people who today are experiencing a storm. I am reminded of Your words in Psalm 23. When You are our Shepherd, our Rock, we will not want. You lead us in paths of righteousness. Even when we walk through the valley of the shadows of death, we do not need to fear evil because Your rod and staff comfort us. Your rod helps us to overcome evil and your staff leads us in wisdom and endurance. We find that even in what is meant for evil, you bring us to a good table in the presence of our enemies. The Holy Spirit continually overflows in and through us! Your goodness and mercy is on us as we stand on Your Rock foundation and live in Your house forever!
I pray that Your people are reminded of these things by the Holy Spirit as they face this storm. I trust and know that You keep Your promises to Your people. We do not put our trust in what we own in this earth or what we can do on our own. We believe in, depend on, rely on, and trust in You! Help us keep our priorities right. Help us to share the reason for our hope and joy….with those around us who are also experiencing a storm. Give us the words to speak that will lead them to You and to give them instruction on how they too can build their house on the Rock!
I pray that those who do not have their house founded on the Rock will wake up and come to their senses. They will realize that what they have in this earth and what they can do themselves is not enough. They will realize that they are desperately “poor in spirit”. They will realize that they need You and they need to change their focus in life! They will mourn about all the wrong ways they have gone and therefore come to you in genuine repentance and desire to change and follow You in all things! And You will meet them there in that place and moment with love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. They will begin by re-building their life on the Rock of Yeshua, Your Son…and vow to follow Him as their Lord and Master forever in a love relationship. They will begin building on this new foundation with His Righteousness as ascribed to us in His atoning sacrifice. And then, they will to continue to grow in Him and in His right way of living. One day they will look back and proclaim that in this day of this storm, it was the best day of their life!
Romans 12: 21, “ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Romans 8: 28, “ And we know that all things work together for good to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Genesis 50: 19-21, “ Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones”. And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.”
Thank You for your love, grace, and mercy in bringing to us salvation and restoration in Yeshua! Thank You for Your Word of promise. Your Word is faithful and true! Thank You that You are faithful to never leave or forsake us especially in the storms! Oh, how I love You Lord!
