Use God’s Word to Fight for Peace

There are so many verses that can come to our rescue in our fight for peace.  I have found books, usually called “pocket promise” books to be helpful.  They are usually Bible verses organized by subject. Just look up the issue you are dealing with and go to prayer.  You can begin by saying something like…..”Lord, you say in your written word that…… show me how that applies to my situation.  Lead me in what I should say and do.  If you say it, I believe it.  If you say to trust you and wait, I will.  If you say to walk away, I will.  Holy Spirit lead me.”

Psalm 119: 105, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Psalm 25:4, “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.”

John 16:13, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

Below are some verses that have helped me….can you hold fast to faith that He will do this for you?  It is a fight to believe in, trust in, and rely on Him and His Word.  We must persevere and endure in love, faith, hope, and joy.

Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Deuteronomy 30:8, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Hebrews 13:5)

Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:35-39, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Psalm 32:7, “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
