Peace With Others – James 2

Read James 2. My reflections on James 2: We should reflect the love and peace of God in our relationships with others. God’s Word is for everyone.  Share His Word freely with everyone, no partiality.  Let your words speak of mercy…the kind that tells the truth in order to save.  Do you remember that mercy is part of our Rock foundation?  Do not judge.  Let the Holy Spirit do the job of conviction of the heart and mind.  Also remember, what Yeshau Jesus said, “how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye; and look, a plank is in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:4).

Yet, there is work we must do if we walk in faith.  First , our own heart, mind, soul and spirit must be right.  Only then can we begin the work to share the good news and help those in trouble….to bring peace.  Our work is an overflow of our love and peace relationship with Yeshua Jesus…and His desire to seek and save the lost.  Works should overflow from faith – what we believe in and trust….so much that we step out and act on it.

A deceived heart thinks works alone is OK, but that is law without relationship and our good works are only by human effort.  Or the deceived heart thinks faith alone is OK, but even satan and the demons believe and shudder (James 2:19).  The Holy Spirit does the good and true works of God’s peace through a good and true heart of peace. What a privilege we have to be peacemakers with God.
