Remember this from our study of Matthew chapters 5-7. The only way to the kingdom of heaven is by repentance and becoming a committed believer and follower of Jesus (Yeshua). When we sincerely grieve over our own sins and the sins of others in the world, we will be comforted in knowing the Savior. AND the Savior sent us a Comforter in the Holy Spirit. The Comforter’s job is to convict us of sin (not going the Father’s way), righteousness (right living in His ways) and judgment (consequences). We need to have a humble/meek/submissive attitude as children towards their Father. There are a lot of other bad wide worldly ways, but they lead to destruction. Our Father loves us, so He teaches us His narrow way that will bring good life….and prefers to do this in gentleness instead of with the rod of correction.
Any other gospel is a false gospel. There is only One Way, One Gate, and One Foundation.
Tell others the good news that they can also build their foundation on the Rock. Tell them that the first foundation is to come through the only Savior Jesus/Yashua. He is the Way, the Truth, the Life and no one can come to the Father except by Jesus/Yashua. They can become adopted into His family with a new spirit. Yeshua paid the ransom price that we can be brought back to relationship with the Creator Father. They are to leave and repent of their old life and ask to be adopted into the Father’s family through Yeshua’s Way. And then they need to learn to think and live like the Father’s family and in His kingdom.
Tell them that Jesus has sent the Holy Spirit to live in us and be our teacher, counselor, comforter, mentor, coach, parent, etc. Invite the Holy Spirit to teach you, to live in you ….and through you as you obey. Both Jesus and the Holy Spirit come to restore us to the Father….so that we can switch and instead of submitting to satan, evil, and the world; we are now free to humble ourselves to the Father and His ways! Submit yourself to the Word of God (Bible) and live by its standards.
Now, that is really good news! But it is more than a prayer, it is life changing! It involves whose you are and who you serve. It involves listening, obedience and repentance. Those are not popular words today….but it is truth….and the way to the blessings of the Father. The Rock foundation verses in Matthew 5 begin with “blessed are those who…” We have a part in this building and blessing process.
Without this sure foundation, it will do you no good to try to go any further. Even the Bible will not make sense to you. Without this sure foundation, you are not building on the Rock, but rather on sand. Many are deceived or ignorant. They think they are building on rock, but are actually building on sandy foundations. Lead them to the Rock if they will listen.
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7
