Walking in the Spirit is Walking in Light’s Laws

Romans 8 (walking in the spirit) ties in with 1 John 1:5-10 (walking in the light).  As His people, we are to now walk in the light of His spiritual laws and fellowship/live with Him.  If we claim we are fellowshipping with Him but are walking in darkness, then we are liars. God is light and Holy Spirit.  If we are trying to practice walking in the light (His spiritual laws) and habitually trying to put away the darkness; and if we confess and repent of any sin (wrong way in darkness, world, and flesh), then we can be forgiven through the blood of Yeshua Jesus.  So even when we fail we can repent (confess and aim to change), and He will then cleanse and purify us for restored relationship. We can get back on the narrow road again and practice walking in the light and the righteous laws/ways of His Spirit.

If our normal life is walking in worldly ways under its “laws and standards” and yet we claim we do not sin, then it is just the same as saying God is a liar!  If we say we can walk worldly and still be following Him, that shows that His Word (truth, instructions, laws, standards) are not in us and we are not truly fellowshipping with Him.  We are still in darkness. Do you see how important it is to know His Word….His Truth?

Yeshua Jesus said this about His faithful bride in Matthew 6:24 (Amplified version), “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord].”

This is the same message as the first commandment which is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength….and have no other gods before Him.  It is not possible to say, “I am a Christian”  and yet live like the world…. without obedience to His way of living in the light (His laws, truth, standards) and without repentance when failing by walking in the dark old ways. Fellowshipping with the world instead of abiding with Him is adultery.  Our desire should be to know Him and live with Him in His truth and ways.  When we fail, we should immediately get that relationship right again.  That should be our normal.  We must be faithful to the Bridegroom.  It is by His grace that we are saved and forgiven, but through our faith and faithfulness to Him in mind and heart.

See the Light by learning truth and living with Yeshua Jesus and His Holy Spirit.  Overcome the darkness by walking in the Light of Truth and in God’s Law/Way which is all enabled by His grace.  Overcome worldly evil with His good truth.  The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets us free from the law of sin and death!  Hallelujah!  There is HOPE for me and you in Yeshua Jesus!  What a heavenly treasure to build up!

Matthew 6: 19-24 (Amplified version), “Do not store up for yourselves material treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.

The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts]. But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the very light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord].”

I exhort and encourage you to abide in Him and walk in His Light.

Psalm 119: 105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
