Higher Law – Written in Heart and Mind

“This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10, Hebrews 10:16)

I believe this is always the law that our Creator Father had I mind for us.  This is the law of love relationship.  It is also the law that is to be primary between a father and child, or a husband and wife.  It is all condensed into the first commandment to love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and mind and second to love your neighbor as yourself.  So, if your mind has truth and your heart has love, you will do what is right (righteous) and good.  Law = cause and effect.

For example, if I love my husband, I will not even think of adultery with someone else.  I will not think to dishonor his name which is also my name.  If I love him, I will want to do what pleases him.  Or if I love my neighbor, I will not even think to steal from him, to covet what he owns, or kill him.  If I walk in love, I do not think evil in my mind or feel it in my heart.  In love relationships, the law (truth and consequences) is in my mind and heart.

Remember, Yeshua Jesus also said, “Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them. (Mark 7:15)  It is what is in a person’s heart and mind that comes out of them.  And if a person’s heart or mind are corrupted from truth and deceived, then evil comes out.  In that case, the father’s best interest  for the child is to instruct in truth and discipline by law in order to “straighten out” the child for their own good.

It has always been Father Creator God’s intention that He put His “laws” of righteousness in our minds and hearts through love relationship.  Yeshua Jesus has made this possible for us today!
