You see that hope is not a “one and done” thing…it hopes forever….it endures…it is patient and faithful and loyal. It keeps on keeping on. It fellowships and fellowships some more. It prays and prays some more. It hopes and keeps hoping! It holds on and keeps holding on! This true hope is standing on Truth, the Word, the Rock, and the Way. The only real hope is always in Yeshua Jesus! And we walk, abide, and live in that hope of His promise…by faith displaying itself as following Him and His Way/Law (obedience). Yet, our hope is founded by His grace and love!
Hebrews 3:6, “But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are His house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.”
Hebrews 6:11-19, “We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. When God made His promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for Him to swear by, He swore by Himself, saying “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants”. And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, He confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 11:1 (Amplified version), “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].”
Hebrews 11 continues to remind us of all the people who lived in faith and hope in God’s promises, yet did not see the final fulfillment. It continues in Hebrews 11: 39- 12:2, “And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us. Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Since Adam and Eve, many have held onto hope in the Creator Father’s Savior, Yeshua Jesus. Even when they did not physically see what they hoped for, they continued in hope and faith believing that what He said (His Word), He would do. I also hold onto this HOPE of Yeshua and His return tightly. I am beginning to sense that like them, I will go to the grave before Yeshua Jesus returns, but I will be among the dead in Christ who rise first to meet Him in the air. My hope is in Yeshua Jesus, my Savior and Lord.
1 John 3:2, “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”
