Examples of Holy Spirit Fruits in His Word – part 3

Galatians 5:22 tells us some of what the Holy Spirit produces as fruit in our life: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and control of self-focused flesh and pride.

What are some examples of these Holy Spirit fruits? We have the peace that passes understanding (Philippians 4:7)….the joy unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8)….the hope of salvation and being saved (Psalm 119:81)….the never ending unconditional love of God (1 John 3:1)….the long suffering and patient training of the Holy Spirit with forgiveness and gentleness (1 Timothy 1:16, 1 John 1:9, 1 John 2:12, Psalm 18:35)….His kindness and the kindness of a brother or sister in Christ (Ephesians 2:7, Colossians 3:12)…..the pleasure of doing good and being good and growing in righteousness (Colossians 1:10, Ephesians 4: 14-16)……knowing His faithfulness and that He will never ever leave of forsake us (Deuteronomy 7:9, Hebrews 10:23, Hebrews 13:5)!!!!  All I can say to Him is “Thank You.  Thank You.  Thank You.  Lord, help me stay close continually and produce your Holy Spirit fruit in me!”

The FRUIT verses above are listed below in case you would like to read them, without taking time to look them up.

PEACE…Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

JOY…..1 Peter 1:8, “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy”

SALVATION and BEING SAVED….Psalm 119:81, “My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.”

LOVE….1 John 3:1, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

1 Timothy 1:16, “But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.”

1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 2:12, “I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.”

Psalm 18:35, “You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.”

Ephesians 2:7, “….in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Colossians 1:10, “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God”

Ephesians 4: 14-16, “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.  From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

Deuteronomy 7:9, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

Hebrews 13:5, “God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

“Blessed assurance Jesus is mine…oh what a foretaste of glory divine……”

I can have assured hope of the fruits of the Holy Spirit…IF I abide in Yeshua Jesus…to experience His fruit of His Holy Spirit  towards me and have that same fruit be produced in me towards others!
