I have not been posting to this blog as my husband had open heart double by-pass surgery. I have been learning the blessings in brokenness. I highly recommend the book “The Blessings of Brokenness” by Charles Stanley.
Things break and bad stuff happens to good people too. We live in a fallen world…and we have enemies, physical and spiritual. Plus, we seem to mess up ourselves or someone else around us can mess up and things break. The good news is that…God is in the work of restoration. Have you ever had to restore or remodel a house? Well, you know the old junk has to be broken, tore down, and thrown away before the new can be built up! It is the same with God’s restoration in our lives. Breaking down the old hurts! But, it is for our best! He loves us and is taking us through to the best end! But we need to look to Him and trust Him…not look to the thing breaking. We look to Jesus and not on the storm or high waves! God is able to take what is bad and turn it for good! We are His workmanship created for good…He brings blessings even in brokenness! Do you recall how the Bible describes this as pruning the branches so that the tree is more full of life and fruitful? Blessings!
