Exodus 24

The people confirm/agree with the promise covenant offered by God. They say they will follow Him. They set up an alter of 12 stone pillars (representing the 12 tribes) to worship God, seal the covenant in blood sacrifice, and for their future remembrance. They fellowship together with God. Moses writes down the whole covenant and commands of God and reads them aloud to everyone.

At the end of the chapter, God calls Moses alone to the top of the mountain covered in the cloud. Moses waits 7 days for God’s voice and only then enters the cloud. He stays there 40 days and nights.
Do you remember the significance of 7 and 40? You can scroll down to previous messages if you do not remember. Blessings!
