Revelation 11 into 12

Revelation 11 into 12…The Scene Changes …… At the end of chapter 11, we had a scene change. So, now we see God sitting on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant. We know that if atonement has not been paid for sin, then this becomes God’s judgement seat. Remember, the Tabernacle was God’s way to foreshadow Yeshua Jesus as our sacrificial Lamb, prophesied Mesiah, Savior, and Atonement for our sin. When on the cross, Yeshua Jesus paid the price of death for sin, the curtain into the Holy of Holies and the Ark of the Covenant was split apart. Yeshua Jesus made the Way for us to come to the Father in mercy and grace.

But, those who do not align with Yeshua Jesus must atone for their own sin through eternal death. So, God is sitting in the place of justice and judgement. His awesome power and authority is shown in the lightening, thunder, earthquake, and hailstones. Court is in session and the Judge is seated. Time for the evidence to be presented in truth!

That brings us to chapter 12. This truth and judgement is for all time and all people, so specific names cannot be used. God, in His wisdom, uses the parable format. This is like the parables that Yeshua Jesus taught on earth. They hold truth for all time and all people. It is up to the listener to know where they fit in the parable by sensing the conviction of the Holy Spirit. So, it is important to listen to the descriptions and actions of the characters.

Parables work for individuals, but also for organizations or groups of people. Consider the parable of the prodigal son. An individual can leave the presence of the Father, but so can a church or organization or nation. Consider the parable of the Sower and the Seed. An individual can be distanced from God by distraction, persecution, trouble and destruction, world pleasures, and false teaching, but those things can separate from God for churches, organizations, and nations too. This is the same way we can understand Yeshua Jesus messages to the 7 churches in the beginning of Revelation. A parable is based in truth to enable it to apply to many people, in many situation, over all time!

We are about to learn the truth of God’s judgement of mankind as individuals and organizations. I expect the theme will be the gospel message of good news through Yeshua Jesus!
