Revelation 16 The 7 Bowls of God’s Wrath

Revelation 16. The 7 bowls of God’s wrath are poured out. The saints have been caught up with Yeshua Jesus and only the wicked remain on earth. Seven is the complete number of righteousness…so God’s righteous judgement and wrath will be totally poured out on evil. I believe these bowls are poured out quickly one right after another. This is what scriptures call the judgement of The Lord’s Day. Many prophets have spoken concerning this day since ancient times. It is a dark, horrifying day!
The first judgement is loathsome sores on those with the mark of the beast. The second and third judgements are turning the waters of the seas, rivers, and water springs into blood. This is proclaimed as just judgement because these evil people spilled the blood of God’s saints and now must drink blood. It reminds me about God’s law of reaping what you sow. In the fourth judgement, people are severely burned by the sun. I think this is also significant in that most pagan religions are based on the highest pagan “sun god”.
Instead of repenting, these people revile the name of God. The fifth bowl of judgement is complete darkness over the beast and his kingdom. This is appropriate as Satan rules over the kingdom of darkness. This darkness adds to the excruciating pain and torment of their sores. Still, they do not repent or hate their wickedness, but rather blaspheme God.
The sixth judgement dries up the Euphrates River so that the kings from the east can come through the Iraq area into Har-Megedon, which is southwest of the Sea of Galilee. It is a region historically known for warfare. The demonic spirits inside the dragon (Satan), the first beast (dictator government), and second beast (false prophet) leap into action gathering the other nations of the world for war. But, God will win this victory!
The 7th bowl is poured out and God declares, “It is done.” In other words, it is all over now. There are lightenings and thunders and a massive, severe, far-reaching earthquake like never before. The great city is split in three and the cities of the nations fall. God remembers the idolatry, immorality, and adultery of Babylon. Every island sinks and all mountains are flattened. One hundred pound hailstones fall from the sky. Amazingly, people continue to revile and speak abusively of God!
