Revelation 12:9 The Dragon is Satan

Revelation 12: 9, ” And the huge dragon was cast down and out – that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all humanity the world over, he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him.”
We have been identifying all the characters of the “parable” being presented in heaven’s court room, before the Supreme Judge, on His throne. We come to the root of all these problems….The Dragon. The dragon is Satan.
Satan has been called the “serpent”, the “fiery serpent”, and the “dragon” many places in scripture, beginning in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1). Another example in Numbers 21:8: When the serpents were biting the Israelites in the wilderness and their poison was killing them, Moses was told to put a bronze serpent on a pole and any who would look on it would be saved. That is a foreshadow of Jesus paying for the poisonous sin of the world by hanging on the tree (pole) and that all who would look on Him would be saved. More examples in Matthew 3:7, 12:34, 23:33, John 8:44, Jesus also called the religious Babylonian Judaism and those religious leaders of His day “brood of vipers” and that they were “of their father Satan”.
Satan is the enemy of God. He was a glorious angel, who rebelled against God due to pride and self elevation, and thus fell from heaven (Isaiah 14, Revelation 12:9). He rebelled and became the antichrist spirit. Look more closely. Anti – means against or instead of. And in Greek, Christ means the “anointed one”. Anointed means “to put on divine or holy office/position”. Therefore, we see that Satan’s spirit turned against God with intentions to have the anointing of the divine position instead of God.
Satan deceived 1/3 of God’s angels to rebel against God with him. Satan is still deceiving and working to get people to go against God or have something or someone in the place of God. His ultimate goal is to enslave people to force worship of him, instead of God, in his fallen kingdom. Satan is separated from God and wants to take many with him. Stealing God’s most precious creation is Satan’s biggest revenge. He gives power to the beasts and the woman so that they can work out his plans and operations.
Matthew 12:30, Jesus said, “He who is not with Me, definitely on My side, is against Me, and he who does not definitely gather with Me and for My side scatters.”
Choose who you will serve. (Joshua 24:15, Matthew 6:24)
Seed produces after its own kind, so by default, we are all born with a fallen human nature in a fallen world. BUT GOD, has made a way for us to be restored in relationship with Him…restored to righteousness….delivered from evil! The only way is to believe in Yeshua Jesus as the Son of God who came as the Son of Man, to lay down His human life and blood for the sins of all people and the world, so that anyone who aligns with Him can choose to be saved from Satan and evil. You can now choose to be together with God as His adopted son/daughter OR you can remain separated from Him. He desires our love, not to enslave us. So, He gives you freedom to choose. Who do you choose? You may say you do not want to choose, but then by default, you remain a sinner in a sinful world. Satan will try to deceive and seduce you. If you doubt God’s existence as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, maybe you should talk to Him about it and ask Him to reveal Himself to you? BIG decision! Eternity is a long time…………………………………………………………………….
Even after that initial choice…who do you choose to follow on a daily basis? Satan will continue to try to deceive and seduce followers of Jesus and make it look and sound good. But, anything he has to offer always leads to loss, destruction, and death. Be wise! Be awake! Be constant! Be prepared!
1 Peter 5:8, “Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times, for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring (in fierce hunger), seeking someone to seize upon and devour.”
