Deception concerning the moving of the Holy Spirit

Deception concerning the moving of the Holy Spirit…….
Deception concerning how we know if the Holy Spirit is working and moving….This will be an awakening for those who have experience in Charismatic Christianity. The evidence of the working of the Holy Spirit is no in euphoric feeling based experiences or mystical spiritual manifestations. Remember that Satan can appear and move as “an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). In Galatians 1:8, Paul warns that if an angel from heaven preaches contrary to the gospel of God’s Word, the gospel of Jesus Christ, then they are not to believe or follow. We read in God’s Word that the Holy Spirit works and moves by faith. God always works by His grace and through our faith in Him, in all His ways of saving and helping us (Ephesians 2: 8-10). What does the true faith that the Holy Spirit works and moves in look and feel like?
2 Corinthians 5: 7, “For we walk by faith and not by sight (living out our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises.)”
Romans 1:17, “The just and upright shall live by faith.”
Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things NOT SEEN (the conviction of their reality – faith comprehends as fact what CANNOT BE EXPERIENCED BY PHYSICAL SENSES).”
Does that sound like floating or falling from heaven? Does it sound chaotic or mystical? Does it sound like euphoric, dramatic, or sensational? Does it sound like a worked up emotional experience of praise and worship? I am not saying that we will not have emotional responses in our relationship with the Holy Spirit. But, it is not our focus. Physical or emotional manifestations are not the evidence that the Holy Spirit is working or present with us! We do not have to work up the presence of the Holy Spirit or get Him to move through praise and worship. The Holy Spirit is ever present with us continually, by faith, because Jesus has promised!
So, how does the Holy Spirit move and work?
John 16:8, “And He, when He (the Holy Spirit) comes, will convict the world about the guilt of sin and the need for a Savior, and about righteousness, and judgment.”
John 14: 26, “But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Couselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name (in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf), He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember all things I have told you.”
Galatians 5: 22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit (the result of His presence within us) is love (unselfish concern for others), joy, inner peace, patience (not only the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, control of self.”
Often the Holy Spirit works in the “still small voice” and person-to-person, in our “inner man”. In the letters to the Corinthians, Paul teaches that there are gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, but they are to only operate as the Holy Spirit wills and they are not the primary thing. 1 Corinthians 13 says that the greatest is love….God’s love in and through us. Paul explains how this works in Roans 5: 1-11. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, and reveals that our righteousness can be obtained in Jesus. When we receive JEsus in faith and with all our heart, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. We repent and He is our Helper to change us, so that we might be His workmanship. We wlak with Him by faith. He reveals God’s Word and God’s ways. We begin to experience His fruit in our lives, our “inner man” first. It works from the inside – out. He sheds His love abroad in our hearts and we live it out in joy and thanksgiving. That is the amazing work and move of the Holy Spirit in and through us!!! Are you correctly discerning the moving and working of the Holy Spirit in your life….in your church assembly? The main miracles of the Holy Spirit are to bring people to Jesus and them transform their “inner man” through discipleship training and practice! AND God has His people helping in this miraculous work!!!
Matthew 28: 18-20, “Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, “All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the very close and consumation of the age. Amen (so let it be).”
We must keep the good new of Jesus FIRST in priority!

Some questions to ask yourself….
Everyone believes something. Everyone listens to something. What or who do you listen to? Why do you believe what you believe? Do you choose what you believe or just follow “whatever”? What you really believe will determine how you respond and live. How you live has consequences. Is it time to think seriously about what you believe?
Is it possible that you might be wrong? How do you know that what you believe is true and are assured you are not deceived? Who or what is your source of what is actually really true?
