Sidenote to Romans 12: In Matthew 18: 3-4, Jesus teaches that to enter and become great in the kingdom of heaven, we need to become like children. Why? Consider an innocent child who is still loving, trusting, lowly, and forgiving. Little chldren love their parents with all their hearts and really try to please them. They really believe their parents love them and that their parents are doing what is best for them. Even if they do not always do it, they know they are supposed to listen to their parents and obey. They know they are supposed to love their siblings, play nice, and forgive when things go wrong. The things God teaches His children in Romans 12 are the same good things we teach our children. So, to enter the kingdom (household) of heaven, we need to submit in love and respect to the Heavenly Father through Jesus, and to be great in the kingdom (household) of heaven, we need to grow as His children in His thoughts and ways.
