Soon I will start my study of Hebrews from the beginning. But, today I want to share from Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
So, for example, we do not physically see Jesus on earth today, but we haev faith He is our Savior who sits at the right hand of the Father in the heavenly kingdom. Because I know Jesus as a person and because I trust Him and His words in the Bible, I have faith and confident assurance in Him and what He ways. In the same way, I have faith and confident assurance that when it is time for me or one of His followers to pass on from this earthly life, He will come to get us to be with Him. Physical death does bring sorrow, but faith and confidence in Jesus and His resurrection brings overcoming joy with assured hope in our eternal life with Him.
This faith is especially reassuring to me as my mother passed on from this earthly life into the arms of Jesus last week. Yet, even while her body is dead, she lives….just in a far, far better place!
Philippians 1: 21-23, “For me to live is Christ, living His life in me, and to die is gain, the gain of the glory of eternity….and to be with Christ, for that is far, far better.”
My Mom lived her life as a godly faithful woman. She strived to live out the commandments to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself.
Her brother well wrote, “Her lifelong dream and prayer was that every person God created, especially those in her family, would come to know and accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. In her mind, that’s number one in importance.” I would agree.
John 3: 16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
I pray that you know HIm and the truth about the kingdom of God and how to get there. The Way is by calling on Jesus from your sincere heart and asking to know Him personally in thruth, with a willingness to follow Him and be faithful. If you call on Him, He will answer.
If you do not know Him in personal relationship, we would be delighted if this is your time. Pray with me if your heart is willing…..
“God, I know I am imperfect and sin. You are perfect righteousness and uphold good by destroying evil. How can I stand in Your presence? Good works are not enough to clean me up. Thank the Lord, Jesus has made a way for me! I beleive Jesus is Your Son and my Savior who paid for my sins. My choice is to know Jesus and follow Him in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen…which means “yes, so be it, this is most certainly true”.”
Now in response to your vow and faithfulness, God replies….
Jesus says, “Yes. Come and know Me according to your heart and vow. I am your Savior and Lord.
The Father says, “Yes. Forgiven and restored to Me, you are now My son/My daughter.”
The Holy Spirit says, “Yes, I will be your Helper and Guide. Ask Me and keep on asking. Seek Me and keep on seeking. Knock and I will always be available.”
My suggestion for you is to begin to read the Bible. It is the inspired word of God. Then, you will come to know Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit more and be enabled to learn and follow His ways. This will lead you to an abundant and good life!
Rejoice in the Lord! He will never leave or forsake you. Only you can now walk away from Him. So, endeaver to stay close in your relationship with Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
